Summer Activity Holidays
At the gateway to the Vanoise National park there are endless opportunities for the nature lover. Take a stroll, walk or hike through the 500 km of marked paths of the park observing the varied fauna, flora and geology of the area.
Activities available include rock climbing, canoeing, white water rafting, paragliding, mountain biking, adventure park, horse riding, quad biking and cycling. Equipment and instruction can be hired locally, a full list is available on the Champagny website.
Leisure facilities within the village include an outdoor swimming pool, tennis court, skateboard park, football and volley ball pitches. Various artistic and cultural activities / exhibitions are arranged throughout the summer period by the local tourist office. Alternatively you could just chill out, visit the cinema or one of the local restaurants and bars.
Further afield, it is possible to visit Mont Blanc, Northern Italy and the lakes at Annecy and Aix Les Baines. The weather in summer can be very hot, regularly over 30° c, so you need to plan your activities according to the weather.
